Arundel. I had some memorable times there. I spent one semester there, January through May. It rained daily until April, that I remember. I went with Scott Vinovich and Chris Ellor from the rugby team as well as some of the others from my classes in Henniker. We did a long weekend in Amsterdam and it snowed there! We were regulars at the Red Lion Pub on High Street. Learned to play darts, drank great beer and spent many an after hours there. Jan Van den Dreissch was a student and the Bartender! We would often walk there along the river if the weather was dry and/or we couldn’t get a cab! The school had its own pub, the Torrington Arms and Bill, the Pub Master, was great! I lost many a dart game there. We had a pool that I'd study by in the spring. After a year end party, we all ennded up in it, fully dressed! We had some fun and I have great memories! |
